INXS said it best, every single one of us has the Devil Inside. So why not show your mischievous spirit this haunting season by making your outside match your inside?
In this very special hands-on workshop, you will learn how to sculpt, mold, cast, pigment, and apply your very own custom set of petite devilish horns. Using skin-safe silicone, alcohol-activated makeup, and plenty of inspiration images, you will learn how to accomplish realistic augmentation effects that can be reproduced with ease. You will also be introduced to a variety of out-of-kit techniques such as scarification, burn effects, lacerations, and tattoos that can enliven your final character design.
Perfect for FX enthusiasts of all skill levels, this workshop will introduce you to a variety of ways to live deliciously this spooky season.
Day 1
A brief, fiendish history of the devil in art, sketching the appliance to scale, sculpting and molding; special topics as time permits
Day 2
Casting, application techniques, painting, and removal; special topics as time permits
Please note: real-time workshop participation requires external purchases before class. Critical materials may need to be ordered. The instructor is happy to share vendor information upon request; whenever possible, she recommends purchasing FX makeup items from a local supplier. She has no affiliation with any specific vendor and substitutions are possible, but usage of products outside of those listed will likely deviate from the instruction provided in the workshop.
