In-Person Event · Memento Mori Weekend in New York City

Join us for a weekend devoted to all things Memento Mori—Latin for "remember you will die"—as we celebrate Morbid Anatomy founder Joanna Ebenstein's new book Memento Mori: The Art of Contemplating Death to Live a Better Life with two of our favorite New York cultural institutions—ARAS (Archive for Research in Archetypal Symbolism), devoted to Jungian image research—and The Green-Wood Cemetery, one of the finest 19th century garden cemeteries in the nation. The weekend brings together experts in Jungian analysis and symbology, cultural historians, artists, spiritualists, and death doulas for a day-long symposium, performances, cemetery tours, rare book viewings, a Morbid Anatomy Library open house, parties, live music, and much more.
