Victorian Hair Jewelry Workshop with Master Jeweler Karen Bachmann

Admission: $150

Location: Private studio, address provided upon ticket purchase

Hair work rose in popularity as both jewelry and decor during the 19th century, translating the concept of a wearable human relic into a bold fashion statement for Victorians. Working with copper wire and horsehair to form intricate twists and braids, participants will create wire-work and palette worked shapes suitable for mounting in a frame or worn as a brooch or hair clip. All materials, including horsehair, will be provided.
