Our dreams are a treasure trove of information, guidance and insight that we are gifted with every single night. Everybody dreams (whether you remember your dreams or not!) and the imagery, feelings, and stories of our dreams show us what is possible in our waking lives for healing and transformation. Dreams give us direct access to the wisdom of our own unique and personal unconscious and the gifts of these connections are unparalleled. The challenge is often understanding the language of symbols and feelings that our dreamworld uses.
Building on the work of Sigmund Freud, Carl Jung, and Jeremy Taylor, Tristy Taylor will expand our understanding of dreamwork into a more modern and “holographic” approach to working with our dreams. She will share a whole variety of tools to learn how our dreams communicate, including the projective method, Gestalt work, and a variety of non-analytical/ creative practices. In the final class session, the whole group will get to put these dreamwork tools into action, by working a student’s dream as a collective in real time!
The class sessions include:
Session #1: The Origins & Traditions of Dreamwork
Ancient Practices of Dreamwork
Freud & Jung and Why Their “Split” Was to Our Benefit
Modern Dreamwork Practices & The Latest Dream Research
Session #2: Basic Hints and Creative Dreamwork Tools
Understanding Your Personal Archetypes, Symbols & Dream Patterns
Working with Our Projections & Nightmare Imagery
Integration of Dreamtime Wisdom with Waking Life Actions
Session #3: Dreamwork in Action: Working a Dream as a Dream Circle
The Benefits of Sharing Your Dreams in a Group or Circle
Working One Student’s Dream Together
How to Start Your Own Dream Circle, Moving Forward
This class series is the perfect foundation for both beginner dream workers, as well as those who want a refresh around their dreamwork practices. Every student will leave with multiple ways to track their dreams and understand their own personal archetypes and symbols, as well as being an expert in translating their own personal dream language, including a deeper understanding of how dreamwork can be an authentic “living” conversation with the wisdom of the unconscious that can last a lifetime.
