Depicting the beloved Mexican figure of Our Lady of Guadalupe, this lovely hand-painted nicho features a red or blue border with a shelf to place additional devotions. The red nicho includes jeweled and cloth flowers, gold foil and leaves, and features a full length representation of the “Empress of Mexico”. The blue nicho features a close-up of her face with a double behind her which seems to amplify her depth both visually and spiritually.

Our Lady of Guadalupe, is Patroness of the America’s, and the country’s most popular religious icon since 1531, the date she is said to have miraculously appeared to an indigenous man named Juan Diego and left her image, along with roses, on his tunic. Still visible after centuries, this venerated garment is enshrined within the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City.
